What is a personal documentary or a film diary? As a filmmaker, what is the challenge to film a character who is emotionally related to you? TIDF invites South Korean filmmaker KIM Soovin and Taiwanese filmmaker Kite CHEN to share their experience and views about filming themselves and families.



KIM Soo-bin

Kim was born in 1987. She studied visual arts in high school and dreamt of becoming a designer. Eventually she entered Korea National University of Arts and studied Broadcasting and TV. She has worked as an assistant director and a translator for musicals and is now juggling with all the roles she has to play in her life. Her dream is to become a storyteller who can touch a human's soul. 



CHEN Yuan-chen

Born in 1978, Chen Yuan Chen used  to be a reporter, art administrator, and copywriter. Having received a Master Degree from University of Lumiere in Lyon, France. She corrently works as an independent documentary filmmaker.
