I wanted to make a film for my mother, who passed away in 2007. As I sorted through the twelve years of footage I had collected, seeing someone who was so dear to me captured on video with such realistic movements, sound and expressions, like it all just happened yesterday, I realised this film is not just about remembering her – it’s also an experiment to bring her back to life.
