An award-winning Ukrainian documentary director from Kyiv. She studied documentary cinema at the Karpenko-Kary National University of Theatre, Cinema and Television in Kyiv and at the Andrzej-Wajda School in Warsaw, in the Dok Pro programme. Her debut feature documentary, Alisa in Warland, had its world premiere in the First Appearance competition at IDFA in 2015. Her next film, Home Games (2018), appeared at Sheffield Doc/Fest, played again at IDFA, and won numerous awards. In 2021, it became the first Ukrainian creative documentary ever acquired by Netflix.

Synopsis
In 2019 Donbas, amid the looming threat of a new Russian invasion and echoes of past gunfire, five teenagers contemplate their future. Rebelling against their wartime reality, they seek adventure, navigating minefields and dreaming of escape from both conflict and small-town monotony. An unexpected chance to journey to Nepal sparks hope for realising their dream of world exploration.
