The film follows several unaccompanied child migrants as they journey through Mexico en route to the States on a freight train they call "The Beast". Director Rebecca Cammisa tracks the stories of children who are desperately trying to reach their families in the States These are stories of hope and courage, disappointment and sorrow. They are the ones you never hear about - the invisible ones.

The six weeks is the period in which parents of newborn babies in Poland can decide to give up a child for adoption. The helplessness and unknowingness of these children who have been given away. The grief of the mother who has to give away her newborn in just six weeks.
