Anocha Suwichakornpong (b. 1976, Thailand) is a director, writer and producer whose work engages memory, history and political trauma in Thailand. Her award-winning films have screened at Cannes, Rotterdam, Locarno and the Berlinale; Mundane History won the Tiger Award at IFFR (2010). She founded Electric Eel Films and co-founded Purin Pictures, and is an Associate Professor at Columbia University, dividing her time between New York and Bangkok.

Synopsis
Commissioned by e-flux for the 13th Seoul Mediacity Biennale, Narrative follows the filmmaker as she prepares a staged courtroom trial examining the Thai government's culpability in the 2010 Bangkok massacre of pro-democracy protesters. Blending witness testimony with research, the film meditates on truth, justice and the ongoing absence of official accountability.
