Panel Discussion
Absence as Presence — Palestine and Its Archiveless Archive
Taking the absence and presence of Palestinian film archives as its point of departure, this panel examines what it means to view surviving images while reflecting on how creative practices may suture historical ruptures and reconstruct personal and national narratives when archives are looted or destroyed. Through imagination, re-enactment and remediation, different bodies come together to generate new forms of perception and new archival possibilities.
