Traditionally
the Tao people always harvest flying fish and dolphin from their plank boats in the southern waters. In the summer of 2007
they rowed westward to the unfamiliar water
across the Kuroshio
to call on the civilized Taiwan for a change. On their journey to Taiwan
the Tao people have found themselves in a predicament under the circumstances of contemporary civilization and modern Taiwanese society.
