Eye Contact
Eye Contact
Eye Contact
Synopsis
In September 2009, a women’s soccer team represented Japan for the first time in the Deaflympics in Taipei. Soccer becomes not only a goal for them, but also a metaphor of the central issue in their lives: how to communicate—amongst themselves, between the deaf and the hearing, between different nationalities. In the end, eye contact becomes the key, not only for the players, but also for us, the audience.
