The film, shot over a period of 6 years, is the story of a family of Nats. Nats are traditional performers, entertainers of India. The film is a journey into the individual lives of the family of Ratan Singh, a Nat. The individual and the collective; the traditional and the modern; constantly clash and co-exist in this work revolving around the different choices before a primitive people in crisis.
