Male Education

Synopsis

Through the letters between the director and his friend and the traditional interviews, this film tries to assay the facets of physical discipline and masculinity making in the compulsory military service. It also touches the fringe experiences of gay men, female soldiers, and medical students evading military service. Formally, MALE EDUCATION shatters the audience’s position actively and pushes them to join the recurring introspection of the documentary by the apposition of real and estranged reenacting interviews.
