Silent Delta

Synopsis

Humans can decide history, but the silent “non-humans” speak the truth. From the artist’s perspective, their silence may very well be the most appropriate voice there is. SILENT DELTA captured, on camera, the three volcanic islands in northern Taiwan. The film begins with the homesickness of the bird spirit and ends with a trapped soul that is unable to escape from the Delta. It prophesized an unsolvable conflict between men and islands; and made a fable out of a defiantly silent land. The visual explanations and discussions reach no conclusion. It is just a quiet reflection.
