Without Memory

Synopsis

The film documents three years in the life of Sekien Hiroshi, diagnosed with Wernicke's Kosakoff Syndrome, a minute but profound damage to the brain which prevents him from accumlating new memories. This portrait of Hiroshi sharing the passage of time with his wife and children raises fundamental questions about memory, identity without forcing any conclusions.
