Khoa LÊ goes to Vietnam to visit his distant relatives to celebrate the New Year. In the colourful presence of his grandmother, a portrait and self-portrait emerge with humour and deep feeling; the unforgettable character of the old lady is the anchor for the director's perceptive quest, steeped in memories, in which scenes from everyday life are layered with dreamlike images, voices and recollections.
