Singing Lesson 2
Singing Lesson 2
Singing Lesson 2
Synopsis
Żmijewski returned to the idea of the ‘deaf choir.’ In an unprecedented way, the two versions of ‘Singing Lesson’ address conventional views of the limitations of speech and musicality. The children use sign language during rehearsals and the performance. They pore over the score, which is a complete puzzle for them, but can neither hear their voices nor control them.
