HEBEI TAIPEI

LI was born in Hebei Province in China, and the war brought him to Taiwan where he has spent six decades. He never returns to his hometown but has revisited it countless times in his dreams. At the age of sixty, he separated from his wife and children. He cannot bear to see his hair turn grey, so he puts on a black wig and a women’s dress, trying to make up for his lost youth.
