Pyongyang Diaries

Shot between 1994 and 1996, Pyongyang Diaries records the individual human beings living within North Korea, a very restrictive regime and their enthusiasm of more contact with the outside world. The viewer is confronted by reminders of the struggle of the past, and the worsening crisis of famine in the country.
