Exile Shanghai

The lives of six German, Austrian and Russian Jews cross paths in war time Shanghai. This documentary film traces their lives in exile through interviews, documents, photos combined with scenes of contemporary Shanghai. Located in the Far East's greatest metropolis with its numerous contradictory and conflicting histories and populations, these documentary episodes converge to form a startling new account of an historic exile.
