Female Workers behind the Taiwan Miracle

Focusing on the female workers in the Export Processing Zone in Kaohsiung, the crew visited the protagonists in their work environment and had them reflect upon the highs and lows of their career. The interviews, presented alongside Dr. HU Tai-li's observation of Taiwan's industry transformation and its effect on women's employment, provide a bigger picture of women's labour participation both at work and at home during the late 1980s.
