Quarry Workers

In Auhua village live a large group of Atayal people who work in the local quarry. The camera follows the quarry workers as they start their workday. The workers and the owner talk in turn before the camera, explaining their digging and mining methods in detail, recounting the difficulties they face at work. After making this episode, director HUANG Mingchuan turned his experience into his directorial work The Man from Island West.
