The show Aboriginal Tribe, with a population of less than 300 is the smallest group in Taiwan, the 921 Earthquake caused severe have to face most crucial and cruel test of all : their survival.

On September 22, 1999, we saw fallen buildings in the dark. 400 dead and more than 6000houses collapsed. This is the story of 3 residents of Dong-Shih Dynasty: how they dealt with their losses, and how they found the courage to start over.

The 921 Earthquake devastated Central Taiwan and created a new lake in the middle of Tsao Ling. It has become the tourist attraction. The new business brought along new hopes for the local inhabitants. But the threat of a big flood remains.

Because of the earthquake, children now live in tents put up at the school’s playground. The school buildings have fallen down. The only thing that has not changed is the sound of recitation coming from under the temple.
