Salesman

Salesman focuses on a quartet of Bible salesmen and their very American quest for success. The story turns on the hopes and frustrations of one man in particular: Paul Brennan. The film tracks Paul and his colleagues on a tragic-comic journey through the heart, soul, and living rooms of America. Women in curlers contemplate plastic-covered, gold-embossed, four-color Bibles. Paul finds it increasingly painful. By the end of the film, his colleagues have met their quotas and are on to the next town - while Paul faces a different destiny.
