Les Enfants du Borinage
Synopsis
In 1933 the Belgian Filmmaker Henri Storck (1907-1999) and his Dutch colleague Joris Ivens made the film Borinage, dealing with pocerty and miserable working condition in Borinage. Filmmaker Patric Jean was born here, so with this film, he follows the footsteps of Storck and Ivens, only to find the situation even worse than in the time of Storck’s film. Patric Jean insoures confidence into a number of people thereby lending a voice to their taciturn poverty.
