Corner's

Synopsis

This documentary offers a portrait of the closing days of one of Taipei’s premier gay bars and the dreams, hopes and fears of those that frequented it. The idea for the film was initiated when the two filmmakers visited Corner’s, the name of bar, and became familiar with the owner and the cliental. It seemed an excellent subject for a documentary film - both visually and thematically. The filmmakers set out to free themselves from the constraints of traditional documentary techniques and practices. Like poetry, it tries to capture the thrill and sometimes sadness of love and also offer reflections on life.
