J'ai 10 ans

November 4 1984 was the first day when the first French paid TV channel CANAL+ aired. To celebrate its 10th birthday, the TV station recruited 13 kids born on the same day, gave each of them an 8mm camera and asked them to document their lives for 10 months. Those kids didn't know how to use the cameras at first. They kept the cameras rolling during the Christmas holiday, on the first day of school, and weddings and even funerals. More interestingly, those children became the family voyeurs from within, freaking out every family member with the camera in their hands. There is no film grammar and language, no filming ethics and no taboos.
